Abstract

Plastic surgery has experienced steady growth worldwide in recent decades, establishing itself as one of the most indemand medical specialties. According to the latest report from the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS), approximately 35 million cosmetic procedures were performed in 2023, representing a 5.5% increase in surgical interventions compared to the previous year.

La cirugía plástica ha experimentado un crecimiento constante a nivel mundial en las últimas décadas, consolidándose como una de las especialidades médicas con mayor demanda. Según el último informe de la International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS), en 2023 se realizaron aproximadamente 35 millones de procedimientos estéticos, lo que representa un incremento del 5.5 % en intervenciones quirúrgicas respecto al año anterior.
